They’re Right

“My basic principle is that you don’t make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap; you don’t make them because they’re popular; you make them because they’re right.”
Theodore Hesburgh
(Former president of
Notre Dame)

What this quote means by Theodore Hesburgh is that you make decisions because it is the right thing to do. You make decisions because it helps you in your daily life and in your future. Making decisions is right and not wrong because without decisions they you wouldn’t know what to do and you will do the wrong things. Decisions are helpful in life and daily life because it helps you know what you are doing and it helps you think before you do something right or wrong. Making decisions are right especially when the decision is right. For example, when you see someone getting bullied and then you go and tell someone or ask for help you are making the right decisions but if you just stand there and laugh then you are making the wrong decisions and you need to start thinking about what is right and what is wrong with making decisions. In life it’s sometimes hard to make decisions and you may sometimes not make the right decision. When you make good decisions, the right decisions they are good decisions that you know was the right thing to do. In life there is only one decision and that decision is to make good decisions. These decisions that you make sometimes affect other people if you chose the wrong decision but if you helped that person and you made them realize that what they did was wrong then you choose the good decision which is to help others and always tell them good and positive things. Making decisions is right and not bad or cheap.

Sound and Good

“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and unpopular that which is unsound.” (not good)
By: Joseph Smith

What this quote means by Joseph Smith is that it is useful and helpful in our daily lives. This quote is saying that it is our job to sound and good and not unsound. This also means that when you sound and good you do good things when you unsound you do bad things and choose the wrong. For example, people are different so some people can be sound and good or unsound but for the most part you have to be sound and good and you need to do good things. When you unsound that is a sign that you don’t do good or that you are doing something wrong. When you sound and good you do good things you influence other people. Unpopular that which is unsound never be unsound. This quote is our duty that we have in our daily life sound and good is good things and unsound is not good. If you do right you achieve good things in life and many more. If you do wrong then you don’t achieve and you don’t go to college and be someone in life. Doing sound and good is a sign that if you be unsound you won’t get nowhere and you won’t have everything you wanted unless you work hard for what you want and not choose the wrong.

“I trust that my
hard work will pay
Off.”

This quote by Tyler Haws means that when you work hard it will pay off. You have to try hard so it can pay off. Tyler Haws was a kid just like us that had dreams. Tyler Haws worked hard in the basketball team and it payed off. He once said that “I trust that my hard work will pay off.” Be like Tyler Haws work hard and trust that it will pay of for you. You have to practice like Tyler Haws to accomplish your goals and trust that it will pay off. In life the only thing you need to accomplish your dreams or goals is to work hard and you have to trust that it will pay off. Many people in the world would like to be professional basketball players, soccer players, etc… but you need to do hard work and trust that any minute it will pay off. Tyler Haws played basketball for Brigham Young University and Mormon Church Missionary he was hard working and he trusted that it will pay off and it did. If you want to be a great person like Tyler Haws you always do hard work and trust that one day in life it will pay off you just need to trust. Tyler Haws is a great example of hard work and he trusted that it will pay off. He always tried hard until one day he made 143 shots without a miss and by the help of his dad and him always going 2hrs. With his dad to church and practicing before going to school and that’s how he got better by hard work and trusting that it will pay off. He always trusted that his hard work will pay off and now look where he is and what he does. You never know when can your dreams come true you always have to trust that hard work will pay off and that no matter what happens you always have to trust. Everyone has their dreams and goals in life you just need to trust that all the hard work you put will pay off in life.
