Medical Assistant


Duties and Responsibilities:  Answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing patients medical records, filling out insurance forms, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, arranging for hospital admission and laboratory services, and handling billing and bookkeep.

Salary:  30,590 USD

Education: Medical assistant typically graduate from postsecondary education programs. Although there are no formal educational requirements for becoming a medical assistant in most states, employers may prefer to hire assistants who have completed these programs. Programs for medical assisting are available from community colleges, vocational schools, technical schools, and universities and take about 1 year to complete.

Demand for this profession: According to the U.S. department of labor, jobs for medical assistants are expected to grow by 23% from 2014 to 2024.

Reflection: Yes, i would like to be a medical assistant because i get to help others and help them alot when they need it. I would also like to be a medical assistant to help my family for any kinds of reasons and then in will be there on time to save their lives.
