Responsibilities: Dental assistants perform a variety of patient care,
office, and laboratory duties, and often work chair-side as dentists examine
and treat patients. They make patients as comfortable as possible in dental
chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records.

Education:
It takes a relativity short period of time to become a dental assistant. Dental
assistants receive their formal education through academic programs at
community colleges, vocational schools, technical institutes, universities or
dental schools. Graduates of these programs usually receive certificates.
